Chocolaty Chickpea Bars

I almost called these Frozen Brownie Bars because I honestly love these as a frozen treat or snack! And yes, I understand that the chickpea part seems a little weird, but trust me, these do not taste like chickpeas at all. They are a gooey chocolaty goodness!

Ingredients
1 can of chickpeas, rinsed
2 heaped Tbsp of almond or peanut butter
1/4 cup rolled oats
4 Tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder (if baking)
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup walnuts, optional
Method
Dough
Blend all of the ingredients
Enjoy 😋
Bars (optional)
Pour dough into a pan and bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 minutes
Remove from oven and let cool
Cut and store them in a fridge or freezer.
Personal Notes and Tips
The batter makes really good edible brownie dough!
If you are baking them, be careful not to bake them for too long because they get kind of crumbly (unless you like that)
I love to store them in the fridge or freezer! I think they taste a lot better this way!
