A big bowl to warm your soul! This is really quick to make and is filled with healthy fats, fiber, protein, and nutrients!
Ingredients
Oatmeal
1/2 cup of rolled oats
Water
Frozen berries
Cinnamon (optional)
Vanilla extract (optional)
Maple syrup (optional)
Toppings
Fruit
Nut butter
Chia seeds
Hemp seeds
Flax seeds
Granola
Nut milk
Method
To a small pot add the oats and some water. I usually add enough water to cover all of the oats.
Heat the oatmeal over medium heat, stirring often.
Add in the frozen berries. Continue stirring and cooking until desired consistency, usually only a couple of minutes.
Serve with toppings.
Enjoy!
Personal Notes and Tips
You can add in the flax seeds, chia seeds, and/or hemp seeds while you are cooking the oatmeal if you would like your oatmeal to be a little thicker.
I love to pour some nut milk on top of the oatmeal, especially almond milk. It cools it down a little and makes it creamier.
You can use non-dairy milk instead of water when cooking the oats to make the consistency a little creamier.
