Holiday Hempies

Delicious vegan treat from the wonderful Earthy Andy! Any day can be a holiday with these yummies! ☃️



The Magic of Hemp Hearts


  • Great source of protein

  • Rich with vitamins

  • Filled with healthy fats

  • One of the primary sources of GLA, a harder to find fatty acid that prevents inflammation and balances hormones

  • Contains tons of antioxidants

  • Can relieve pain with high magnesium content

  • Supports healthy hair, skin, and nails

  • High fiber and saturated fat helps maintain high energy levels

  • Helps keep cholesterol and blood sugar levels at a healthy level


Ingredients


Bottom

  • 1 1/2 cup smooth natural peanut butter (or any nut butter, just make sure it is one you really enjoy the taste of!)

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/3 cup hemp seeds

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies or puffed cereal


Top

  • 1 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

  • 1 round tbsp peanut butter


Method


Bottom

  1. Mix peanut butter, vanilla, and maple syrup until smooth and then add and mix in hemp seeds and Rice Krispies.

  2. Pat into a greased or lined pan.


Top

  1. Melt chocolate and peanut butter together and pour on top and spread evenly. Then freeze for 30 minutes.


Store them in the freezer!


Personal Notes and Tips


  • If you prefer the taste of a different nut butter, I would recommend using it because you can really taste the nut butter in these.

  • I melted my chocolate and peanut butter in the microwave and it worked just fine! Just make sure that you stop to stir it every 30-45 seconds or so to make sure it doesn’t burn.

  • After freezing them for a little bit, cut them into bars and store them in a container in the freezer for a snack, dessert, whenever!
