At first I was a little afraid to share this recipe with you all... because these bars are addicting!!! I feel like we all have that one food that we keep hidden because we know we just can't resist, well here is mine. So, I advise you, make these with caution because they are dangerously delicious :)
Ingredients
Main ingredients:
1 cup of nut butter
1 cup of oats
1 cup of maple syrup (or other liquid sweetener)
1 cup of chopped nuts
Cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Little bit of vanilla extract
Additions:
Puffed kamut cereal/Rice Krispies
Shredded coconut
Hemp seeds
Chia seeds
Dried cranberries
Raisins
Pepitas
Sunflower seeds
Chocolate chips
Puffed quinoa
Anything you would like!
Method
Mix everything in a large bowl.
Lightly grease a pan (I like to use coconut oil).
Pour and flatten the mixture in the pan. I honestly just use my hands to flatten it.
Put them in the freezer for at least an hour so they will be easier to cut.
Take them out of the freezer, slice it up and enjoy!
Personal Notes and Tips
I love to mix multiple kinds of nut butters. My favorite combination is peanut butter and almond butter, my mom's is sunflower and peanut butter. Get creative they are all so good!
Instead of making bars, you can easily change them to balls. Just roll them up and stick them in the freezer!
They are very sticky so store them in the freezer to enjoy whenever. 😋
One of the best parts of this recipe is allows for so many delicious variations! I love to try a new combination every time I make it.
